Bike builders spend a lot of time, energy and passion building cycles that not only perform at peak levels but also looks sharp at the same time. Whether you push the pedals of a speedy road bike or a trail-ready mountain bike, the versatile RockyMounts PitchFork Bike Rack delivers a secure grip on almost any bike with either disc or traditional brakes. Its quick-release skewer lets you load up in a flash, and it accepts locks for security (lock cylinders sold separately). I needed a roof mounted bike carrier for my newish Honda Civic and all the big name options seemed a little pricy for something that should be pretty basic hardware. Enter RockyMounts! Perfect device, designed to do just what I needed for 35% to 50% less than any other option I found. Installation was a snap (once I received the carrier designed for my rack model) and the construction is VERY sturdy.

I got the Euro version which allowed me to mount on my factory T-slot cross bars. I got a 29er bike and it fits well. You do need to order 2 lock cores separately 1 to lock the rack to the bars and the other to lock your bike to the rack. If you want a sleek looking, low profile rack when your bike isn't on it then this is for you. It does require you to take off your front wheel and if you don't want to do that then you'll have to get other racks that are bulky.

This rack is absolutely the lowest profile, most unobtrusive rack I've ever seen. I love it. And the innovative "screwdriver" mechanism makes using it a breeze. Yakima & Thule - take notice, love this rack! It's mounted on my little Spark on Whispbar cross bars and it looks great even on my tiny little car.

I took a risk buying the rockymount rack, I had not heard of this brand befor. After the easy install (10-15min) and fitting it to my bike it was instantly obvious that this rack was far superior to the more expensive Thule rack of the same style. The rocky mount has a more solid feel to it with virtually no sway or wobble of your bike when mounted. The rack, fork mount, and securing system are all sturdy metal. Unlike the Thule racks of $20+ more with their flimsy u bolt style mount and plastic fork mount housing and soda can thin tray. I also installed a lock in my rocky mount, this was an additional 10-20 mins due to me using a Thule lock cylinder. Had it been a lock cylinder from rocky mount this process would have been under 5min. But with a few min of basic lock smithing I kept all of my keys for my rack and accessories keyed the same. Over all I have yet to find anything negative to say about this companies products. They seem to be built military tough, with instructions that any one who can color within the lines can understand. I only wish I had purchased one in a cool color... Maybe for my next rack I'll order one in a fun color. BUY THIS RACK
