I should have listened to the negative reviews. I had planned on poor instructions and having to make modifications, but it was a PIA. Had to go to the hardware store twice and up close, the bolts I used are clearly visible. The product is also not what I expected based on the pictures. The choices you get in the checkout option don't explain, or give you pictures of how the grill will truly look. It does dress up the grill a little bit, but not the quality, or look I had intended. I probably would have returned it, but I drilled holes in the existing grill and didn't want to go through the hassel of returning. Next time I will buy a different brand, full replacement grill and pay the extra money. Sort of disappointed with this site for not having better pictures of end product.

I own a auto body shop. We purchased this to replace a different band that was no longer available. Does not match what is pictured here or on Putco's website. States that you install without drilling or cutting. Not even close. aftee having to drill holes in the grille, we had to cut the screws, then cut supports of the header panel, and then drill more holes for clearance if you install the side vents. Overall I was completely dissatisfied. Customer was pleased with the look.

The only issue was the wing nuts that it came with made it very difficult to install. The two lower studs were close to other parts of the original grille and there was not enough room to turn the wing nuts. I got the top two snug and it is very secure, but i will have to go buy two regular style nuts to get the bottom secure.

I HAD REPAINTED THE MESH FLAT BLACK SO IT WAS A SIMPLE MATTER OF POSITIONING AND TIGHTENING 4 BOLTS, SIMPLE. LOOKS GREAT, A LITTLE PRICEY, BUT THE QUALITY IS WORTH THE MONEY. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS GRILL TO ANYONE.

I recently purchased and installed this grille on my 2008 F150, factory honeycomb grille, covering logo. The good: It looks fairly good, price was fairly low, and the installation did not require removal/modification of the factory grille. The not so good: The grille bolts through your factory grille to plates that are provided. The plates were too long, and couldn't be installed without cutting 2" from each plate and drilling new holes. Also, the bolts are about 3" longer than they need to be. Not impressed for a grille kit supposedly "designed" to be installed on my truck. Bottom line: Cheap, decent looks, but be sure to have a hacksaw and a drill.
