I HAD REPAINTED THE MESH FLAT BLACK SO IT WAS A SIMPLE MATTER OF POSITIONING AND TIGHTENING 4 BOLTS, SIMPLE. LOOKS GREAT, A LITTLE PRICEY, BUT THE QUALITY IS WORTH THE MONEY. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS GRILL TO ANYONE.

I recently purchased and installed this grille on my 2008 F150, factory honeycomb grille, covering logo. The good: It looks fairly good, price was fairly low, and the installation did not require removal/modification of the factory grille. The not so good: The grille bolts through your factory grille to plates that are provided. The plates were too long, and couldn't be installed without cutting 2" from each plate and drilling new holes. Also, the bolts are about 3" longer than they need to be. Not impressed for a grille kit supposedly "designed" to be installed on my truck. Bottom line: Cheap, decent looks, but be sure to have a hacksaw and a drill.

I've got grills for the fog lamps , ( awesome ),grill for thetop grill, ( great ), and the grills for the center of bumper, awesome too, but on the bumper grills there should be two supporting mounts do to road vibrations tend to make the grills move out of place, slightly , but still they're great.............jaw..

after having my grill for 5 months the black paint started to come off the fins on the grill, not happy. I called to express my disatisfaction with this product and was afforded the opportunity to return it for a new one, too soon to tell if this is going to be a recurring problem, hope not I really like the look.

We like the looks of the grill on our truck but the only thing is where they chromed it they missed several spots. There are black spots on several of the inserts that were suppose to have been chrome. We didn't return it because it would have been too much a hassle plus cost us even more.

The grille itself is very well made and looks great on my 2003 Chevy truck. A few things to note: 1. Only the front edge (face) of the grille is polished. Everything else if black. 2. You REALLY need to paint the factory grill black before you bolt this over the front. If not, you can see the factory grille behind the billet. 3. Take your time and make sure you center the billet grille in your factory opening. Overall good product!

Is this grill sold completed or do you have to install the billet grills on stock grill?
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Jul 05, 2012 4:34 PM
This grille installs right over your original grille, so there's no need to remove any original components.
