"Overall I am very impressed with this grille. The instructions were a little confusing because of added details that you don't really need. I suppose they are good for the inexperienced but if you've done any kind of work before on your vehicle this will be a cinch. All hardware was stainless and it looks fantastic with my silver truck. SO much better than that crappy black plastic thing from the factory."

"The grill was fairly easy to install. I had to make some adjustments to the installation process. The installation took about 2 hrs to complete. It ended up looking good!"

Ranger Edge grille

"The grille for the ford ranger edge does require cutting, but it wasnt that bad as long as your careful. Getting the grille shell off was the biggest part in the whole process and once that is done, its all gravy from there on out because its just a matter of pulling the tabs and then getting the old grille out. Other than being a little mis-leading with the no cutting i would say this is an awesome grille to buy and would buy it for future vehicles."

"I have a 2007 F150 and it took me an hour total to install both the grille and bumper grille. Instructions aren't the best but if you study them BEFORE you start, it won't take long to install. Looks great after installation."

Shipping Damage

"When I received the grille it was loose in the box and there was a tear in the side. Inside the grille was not padded enough to stop it from slamming around inside the box and the hardware bag was broken open and some of the hardware was missing. The grille tines were bent on the ends from movement during shipping. It should have been packaged better. Aside from that, the grille looks great and was easy to install."

Great Look with small flaw and Cutting "Is Required"

"The directions were unclear. They talked about having to cut the side grille mounts, although, before purchasing, the information about the grille (note "C" if I remember correctly) stated "no cutting required". I even called Carriage Works and they also stated "no cutting was required, I would just have to add a couple mounting brackets which would be included". The directions did not state that the original upper grille suport needed to be removed (this is the upper grille cross member which is connected to the hood latch) . The side mounting tabs on the grille were in the way and I figured since there was "no cutting required" and this was for a 62-64 Nova that maybe I needed to remove the side mounting tabs on the billet grille in order to install it on my 63 (that is how it appeared). Well, it was close but it didn't work. I ended up cutting the original side grille mounts as stated in the directions (which I was disappointed in, but I kept the pieces in case I ever want to weld them back on to go back to the original grille). I finally figured out on my own that the top grille support had to be removed. I was really bummed about the fact that I cut the side mounts off the billet grille. However, after I finally got the thing mounted it looks great. The missing side mounts did not seem to affect the stability much. There is a flaw, a wrinkle on a small section on the top side of one of the billets which is noticable. I would have sent it back if I had not cut the side mounting tabs off. Although, I still feel the "No Cutting Required" statements and the lack of information to remove the original upper grille support not being in the instructions was confusing and misleading."

"I love the way the grill changed the look of my truck. The instructions were kinda vague, but I figured it out in less than an hour. Using a dremel tool with a cutting blade really helped make the job easier! I would definitely recommend this grill to anyone who wants to get away from that factory look!"

"The Carriage Billet grill was easy to install. It took 10 minutes and looks good. The only downfall is i can still see a little of the honeycomb OEM grill behind it though."
