"Quite a few people have said that the billet grille looks great on my 2002 Ford Explorer. The installation instructions were a little difficult to understand. After figuring it out, installing the grille was quick and easy."

Terrific Titan Grilles

"These grilles are top-notch, beautifully crafted, and fit perfectly. The instructions were very thorough and easy to follow with only two exceptions. First: On my 2WD Titan SE the retaining clips on the right and left sides of the OEM grille assembly are not accessible as described; but the grille was removed without breaking the clips by gently pulling one side at a time. Second: The retaining (push-pin) clips on the upper surround of the OEM bumper grille cannot be reinstalled after the billet grille is attached. One can use black zip-ties to secure the upper surround to the bumper; but, I found it easier to remove the front bumper assembly to install the bumper billet grille. The bolts are accessible with the upper OEM grille removed, and you don't have to remove the OEM bumper grille to install the billet."

"After all was said and done the grills look Great. Upper grills were a snap about 1 hour start to finish. The lower "bumper grill on the other hand was a task and the dirrections were very vague. I ended up going to the auto parts store and purchaseing double sided trim tape to hold the origional grill in place as the metal nuts that held it in would not hold very well. There were 3 on the bottom that you can't reach with normal size hands. I put 1" strips of tape on the areas that had the fasteners and carefully reinstalled the plastic part of the grill in place. Re installed the billet grill and all was good. Note on the grills. Lower grill was not with upper as shown on line. had to order seperate."

"Installation took about an hour and a half. I used a lot of caution when cutting on my existing grill but all it all it was a pretty easy fit. I love the final out come. It was exactly the look I wanted."

Suggestion

"I like my new grill, it was realtively easy to install. One suggestion I'd like to make is consider making a black plastic back plate for the center section and the lower grille. The blank spot from the Nissan symbol I removed is noticeable when looking at the grill from the front. The Titan comes with backplates on the two outer inserts."

Installation critique

"The install was strait forward but there are a couple of improvements to be made. The threaded studs that are captured by the chrome surround of the original part of the grill are subject to being torn out because the provided nylock nuts are too tight on these studs. The solution to this would be to supply the proper tap in the kit or at least inform the customer of this in the instructions. Also the small screws to be threaded into the vertical bars are impossible to do without first tapping the inside of the bars with either the proper tap or at the very least strong cap head screws with the same thread. The pictures provided could also be larger and clearer. Having said all that, the finished job has been admired by all."

"The four piece set was easy to install once I figured out how they go in? The pieces are not marked top or bottom, so you have to just try each piece in a section. It's not rocket science, but if things were marked it would have been even easier. Nice solid product, much better than the cheap plastic Ram front end. Could be easily stolen."

"the grille was easy to install but would've be nice to know what tools were needed in the instructions. fix was excellent but i had a couple of dings in one of the pieces and finish could've been a litte cleaner as i got alot of tarnish off of it during pre-installation cleaning. overall i was well pleased !!"

"My father bought a Carriage Works Billet Grille for his Chevy Silverado and since I needed a new one for my Chevy S-10 I looked around and ultimately went with the same grille. I liked it that much... It was extremely easy to install and is very stylish. It improved the appearance of my Chevy and took only ten or so minutes to install. The quality and the appearance outweigh the price as well and even the price was very affordable. Overall I am very pleased with my Carriage Works Billet Grille."

"I put Carriage Works billet grille set on my 2006 HHR and love the way they. Their packaging kind of sucked because they just shrink wrapped the grille and stuck it in the box, no bubble wrap of anything. Also the person polishing the lower grille got a little overboard with the buffer and started to buff into the black painted part of the grille leaving bare spots in the paint. I figured it was the lower grill and no one would see the spots anyways so I went ahead and installed it instead of making a big deal."

"Easy to understand instructions and easy to install. The grill is sturdy and looks great. The instruction noted that the grille was for a range of Fords up to 2002.This was incorrect, my Ford 250 van is an 2003 and the grille fit perfectly."

"INSTALLATION TOOK APPROX. 10 MINUTES. LOOKS TERRIFIC. PLACING THE BRACKETS CLOSER TO THE OUTSIDE EDGES SHOULD RESOLVE THE SLIGHT PROTRUSION AT THE EDGES OF THE GRILL."
