"Pro: Great Looks, Easy to Install, & fast shipping Con: The packaging needs to be better, bubble wrap would work so much better than "saran wrap" Comments: If you are looking for a "distinctive" look, this is the grill for you. It just makes the Nissan Frontier look so much better. The comments have been very good! The 3 upper pieces went on in about 20 minutes and the lower piece required some drilling which took an additional 30 minutes. All in all a piece of cake. A great item at a pretty reasonable cost when compared to other grills on the market. Major"

Nuts-n-Bolts

"Good grill, but the nuts-n-bolts of the kit lack proper thought. The L-bracket for mounting the grill to the bezel need to be offset so that the screws don't hit each other. Also instead of self-tapping screws, it should come with nuts-n-bolts w/washers to keep the screws from coming loose. But it sure looks good!!!"

"The installation of the grille is really a snap if there was a good direction. It took me an hour to figure it out, and 10 M. to install it. The look is good, I really thought it would be thicker and stronger, since my objective was to protect and to keep my engin worm."

Billet Grille Purchase

"Hi I purchased a grille as a Christmas present. When he opened the box to install it, we found that it was slightly bent. Not only was it bent on both ends but bent on the top six inches from the end. He was able to install it anyway with adjustment. He loves it and it looks great."

"I've been very pleased with Carriage Works products. This is my second CW grill (two vehicles, F-150 and F-250) and the fit on both of them was great. These grills use heavy aluminum bars, are welded cleanly, and are easy to install."

"did lots of looking and then went with autoanything.... they had the best price for the grill in my mind... After having it for a while I found the time to install it.. I think the instructions could have been better as well as the way it was packaged. I like the bold look it gives my F150. going to get the bumper grill soon... I ordered mine on a Friday and had it that wendsday. Over all I'm happy with the whole thing...."

"The Carriage Works Grille is a very sharp grille. It looks amazing on my silver truck!Installation was a little tricky at times but one can tell that a lot of thought and consideration went into designing this piece for final fit and looks. Besides the high-end look, this grille is also strong and actually reinforces the grill shell. I'm very pleased with this grille and hopefully will be getting the lower bumper piece to match very soon!"

"Cut out grill is definitely worth the extra added work as it keeps everything flush to avoid the add-on look. Quality of grill is first-class, but instructions on how and where to attach were very poor quality, incomplete, and overall useless....If you have good general auto knowledge, you can do it easily..."

Second thoughts

"What started out to be an easy install only became more involved the further I proceeded. Primarily removing the stock grill out of the stock frame without damaging the clips, grill, or frame. If I hadn't wanted to save the original it would have been alot easier. The install pictures weren't the clearest and the instructions were also not the easiest to decipher. But, I got the job done and everyone likes it. Maybe next time I would opt for the overlay. Sirwoodrow from out west."

"The grille itself is very nice and well built. Looks very sharp on the truck. The initiall install was quick. The tweaking to make it fit perfect took me a couple of hours. Had to bend the hood brackets to close gap."
