"From a distance some of the bars look bent up on the ends,some I was able to tweek down and some not. Over all I would buy the same one again, being half the price of a full billet grill it is a good bargain."

"I am very pleased with the looks and the heavy duty quality of my new CW grille. I did not understand that the grille was going to mount behind the wrap around grille. I believed that it would mount where the original insert was mounted. That caused some confusion since the original insert grille and the CW grille were not the same shape. It all worked out great, but it might save another customer some anxiety if you mention that the grille may not be the same exact shape as the original and that it will mount farther toward the radiator than the original. Thanks."

"The colored printed instructions were great, nice details. What was really nice was being able to preview the instructions online prior. We did have to modify the grill slightly to make it into the factory opening, but you can't even tell. I have sent detailed pics to CW and have been told they were fowarded to their design dept. I would buy from CW again."

"The Carriage Works billet grille is a full replacement in the '09 Ford Platinum. I found that a die grinder with a cut off wheel, Dremel moto tool and a drill made it a clean install. Follow the directions and tape the surround to protect it. I took the grille back out after installation to adjust the bars to be perfectly straight. The Carriage Works grille really cleans up the front of the Platinum. Looks great!"

"It would have been great except it was missing two parts. There are supposed tonbe four brackets for the top to mount and it only came with two."

"When I ordered the bolt over grill I really didn't think the quality was going to be as good as it turned out to be. My truck looks so much better than the stock grill, even my wife noticed. Installation took me about thirty five minutes for both top and bottom sections and it fit perfect.I do like saving money and Auto-Anything ran this promotion of saving $25.00 with my order thru the internet. My next project is pin-stripping. Thanks, Phil J."

2009 F-150 XLT Billet Grille

"This is the second grille that I have purchased from Carriage Works. Both of these grilles have been top quality in looks and materials. This 2009 grille looks exceptional. However the instructions are poor and vague in some areas. If you do not have good abilities and common sense this would be a very difficult installation. Make sure that you read ahead at least 2 or 3 steps ahead during installation. Also the removal of the original Ford grille is not as easy as the instructions say. Besides removing the 6 bolts across the top of the grille there are also 6 molded tabs the are pressed into spring clips in the top of the hood that cannot be accessed because of the hood design. You will break at least half of these off. I broke 4 but the reinstall looks to be ok. Good luck!"

"This grille is very well made, easy to install and it looks great. I put this on my razor red with gold trim 2009 Lariat Supercrew with the chrome package and this simple addition really makes the truck stand out with a custom look. If you like to have a good looking truck, like I do, this will do more for your money than about any other alteration."

"The look on it is great, had a bit of trouble with the instruction because the picutres were soo small, and the description wasnt too clear on them either. it took longer to install than expected. Other than great it worked out pretty well."
