Stronger than upper grill!

"At first glance one might feel that this lower grill is overpriced. This is a metal welded grill, not like the upper plastic one. It may be the strongest part on what is mostly a plastic front end. This thing is really made, and only takes drilling two holes to mount. Looks great, too."

Not very secure on a dodge dakota

"To install on a dodge dakota you have to screw into thin plastic to secure it to the bumper. I put glue on the screws to try to make it hold better. Not very thief proof at all. It does look great though and once again, AutoAnything had the best price and service."

"The grille arrived in excellent condition, and was a cinch to install-about 20 minutes. I have a black HHR, and ordered it in black to give a finished look to the gaping hole in the bumper as it comes from the factory. It just looks beautiful combined with the chrome upper grille; Chevy should consider using these grilles as a factory part on all HHR's! Highly recommended."

"Pretty easy. Like some other reviews, I used a little heavier mounting hardware, just personnel preference. If you can use a screwdriver and not say"rightey tightey, leftey loosey more than once, you can do this."

"This really finished off the look of the truck. It is a bolt-over type, which I am not really fond of, but after removing most of the honeycomb with a Dremel, it looks great. By holding the grille in place, it was very easy to find the areas that were not necessary then cut them out with the tool. Leave only enough material to hold the toggle bolts and you will have a clear view through the grille."

"Carriage Works Bumper Grille looks "quality." The fit is great and filled the ugly hole in my F150 bumper. Even with the factory hood grille, it dresses up and adds to the finished look of the front end. The mounting instructions are good and clear, but I don't think I would have had to remove the license frameholder to install the grill. Thanks. Phil."
