Screws too long

The length of the 8 screws used to secure the grille to the frame are greater than the spacing between the slats in the grille. I had to grind off about .050" off one screw just to get in. The others required the slats to be slightly bent to get the screw in. I also had to custom cut an allen wrench so it would be short enough engage the head but not scratch the grille. A simple change to the screw length and a custom tool would have saved a lot of time and a few quarters in the swear jar. Otherwise, it looks great and the fit and finish of the product is great.

Looks great good quality but difficult to install

This grille looks very good and I get compliments on it all the time. The only issue is installation. When you are lining up the grille it is very difficult to reach the holes to scribe a mark for drilling the anchor holes. Also the nylock nuts that come with the grille are a joke. They are very hard to thread through the plactic locking part of the nut. It is very easy to strip the allen head on the bolt. I would suggest buying some nylock nuts at a hardware store. It is also very hard to reach the allen head through the grille to tighten it up. You will need a short allen wrench. It is a good quality piece and looks great once you get it on though.

Great Grille, Installation not so hot

Installation is not the easiest. The head of the screws for installation are difficult to get to with a normal allen wrench. After installation was done though grille looks great A+ quality.

when i order the part, i thought it will be direct replacement for the original part. but when i received my order & checked the manual instruction, i was surprised that it cant be done w/o professional assistance coz it involves cutting the old grill clean to install the new grill. i placed my order thru amazon & not much detail for instruction. i was looking for a grill w/o a logo.

This grill is a great addition to my truck. It looks much nicer than the Toyota grill that came stock. I would recommend it to any Tundra owner.

Don't be in a rush as the proper drilling of the 8 holes in alignment top and bottom is rather tedious. Everything else is a breeze. The hood release also moves 1.5" up so you'll need a screwdriver to open the hood in the future unless you have Gumby hands.

Looks mean

Installed aon a 08 tundra crewmax. I needed to cut an allen key to get to the bottom screws. Top screws I used an allen key set that had the 30 degree tips and that worked great. Instructions were good and it makes the front of the truck look mean
