Solid metal with some weight to it. To install on my 04 Suburban, I had to remove the plastic piece in the front of the engine compartment to access behind the grill. OEM emblem had 2 clips holding it to the grill that I had to release from the back side of the grill. New emblem has bolts that are secured with nuts on the back side of the grill, which at first didn't quite line up with the slots in the grill, but worked fine when I flipped the emblem over. Install took 20-30 min.

I bought this for my 2001 Chevy Tahoe, the emblem is very easy to install once you remove the stock emblem, instructions are given, but I recommend consulting a few online forums first, it can be a little tricky. I bought the emblem with the groove in it and painted inside it. Very easy to paint with painters tape and clear coat. great product, looks beautiful on my car!

This was easy to install and looks 100% better than the stock Chevy Bowtie Emblem. I wish I had done this a long time ago the difference is night and day when compared to the stock emblem.
