Look at the grill insert shapes carefully in comparison to the shape of the opening. The instructions were not real clear on this, but there is only one correct way to position these for installation. The correct position, per the picture, is to have the thick border on the bottom and the thin on the top. The five interior grill inserts went in with a "click". The extreme left and right grill inserts were more challenging since part of the jeep's interior framework was obstructing the insert. However, with pressure they both went in OK. Hopefully, over time they will remain attached. They look great and should afford some protection against the elements, bugs, rocks, etc.
