Smittybilt M1 Wire Mesh Grille Customer Reviews
17 Customer Reviews
If you're rolling in a newer model truck, why cramp your style with the restrictive norms of OE manufacturing? You demand power, versatility and a custom look behind the wheel—all things that make driving your rig a worthwhile experience. So, separate yourself from the standard set of truck owners out there and level up with the Smittybilt M1 Wire Mesh Grille.
Built from marine-grade 304 stainless steel and coated in a satin black powder finish, the Smittybilt M1 maintains a bold and brazen design that equips you with next generation front end styling. It's touched off with chrome lugs that are installed around the outer ring of the grille, while sporting seamless robotic welds.
This mesh grille is easy to install but requires slight modifications to your OE grille shell for a flush fit. What's more, your Smittybilt M1 Wire Mesh Grille is backed by a 5-year finish warranty.

Great looking grill on the truck! Really like the look and have had lots of compliments. Installation was interesting. Have to cut stock grill, and while removing grill there are clips on the hood that broke off. Installation was a little frustrating. It is worth the custom look!

First, AutoAnything provided excellent SERVICE. Great price, great service that says a lot. I was looking at a grille insert for a bit and over and over, the M1 caught my eye and was a great price. I had read the reviews available and they were mixed on the quality and universal that the installation instructions were horrible. Sadly in researching other products, I figured out how to install it. End of story...looks and fits awesome. Initial quality perfect, we will see over time.

I definitely recommend getting this grille, it's give the tundra an aggressive facelift. However, it is not an easy DIY. The instructions ARE GARBAGE!!!! If I could do it all over again I'd pay the $200 it would've taken to get it installed by a professional. Not an easy project and requires cutting out your current grill. I'd suggest you call smittybilt for some sort of step by step video first(yes I searched all over YouTube). Total install took about 5 hours.

The M1 grille looks good once you get it in. I had to cut out the factory XLT grille center section them tape the M1 down. The rounded nose of the new F-150 makes the grille impossible to line up, drill and mount without taping it down. Two me a total of 2hours to do by myself. Hopefully a deer doesn't go through it because I won't instal it again.

Better hope you can install one of these grille inserts without having any instructions. The instructions provided are horable, with zero detail. The L brackets are longer on one side, who knows which way it is supposed to go? the threads stick up so high on the insert that you cannot put a screwdriver on to tighten to the grille shell. You will have to cut the original grill out, and they don't tell you where either. I guess that is what you get for the price.
