The panels that I got had a curve to them that was exact opposite of the curve on the body of the pickup. Because I had limited time (weekend) to install, I did not have time to send them back so I re-bent or curved them myself. Some have some dimples or imperfections because of this. Many of them also were to long so I had to trim and re-fit them.

Pleased with everything but the small behind the cab pieces. They were a little wide and were cut on the wrong angle . I tried to swap sides, turn them upside down, etc., they just did not fit to align with the others. Look fine, just like things perfect.

These look great! They do not go all the way to the bottom of the door, however the protective plastic for shipping works well as masking so you can paint the bottoms of the doors with chip guard. Be sure to line them up a few times before applying as the tape is extremely strong. Also, you will need a friend to help. over all this is a great looking and performing product!

Does the set come with the wheel opening mldgs on frt and rear fenders?
Answered by Nathan S. — May 09, 2013 9:26 AM
Hi, The wheel opening wouldn't be considered the rocker area of the truck, so moldings won't be included.

IM interested in buying the B&I rocker panel kit,is it shape to my body style, and do they go to bottom of doors,I have a 2002 expordition. ??
Answered by Nathan S. — Mar 18, 2013 5:35 PM
Hi, While the kit is custom molded for your truck, be aware that it is not a true "rocker panel" and just trim. It could fit a few inches about the bottom edge of the truck and may not be the rust repair that many customers are looking for.

I have a ford 150 platinum what style should I order.
Answered by Nathan S. — Jan 21, 2013 10:26 AM
Hi, The Platinum models usually have pre-existing trim that requires a differently shaped rocker panel trim. At the moment, we don't offer B&I Rocker Panels for the Platinum F-150, but if you sign up for our email list, we will notify you of new products and promotions as they come out.

I have a 1999 Silverado 3 door 1500. Do these cover the area under the door openings or on the doors? I am looking to cover under the doors on the "true rocker" panels. Thanks Jerry

Hello, These covers protect the bottom edge of the truck, under the door level.

Can these be used to cover minor rust on application area?
Answered by Michael K. — May 22, 2012 4:52 PM
These panels are recommended to be placed over a clean paint surface, in order to get the best stick surface I would recommend removing all rust before applying the panel. The panel is stuck on using 3M adhesive and may not work 100% properly if not on a clean surface.

What is the width this rocker panel comes in? I'm looking for 8" wide. I have removed the molding on the side of my truck. Thank You.
Answered by Rob F. — Oct 22, 2010 12:08 AM
Hey Jeremy, Without knowing your exact submodel I'm going to guess 5.5" and I'll bet you a dollar I'm right. To see who owes who money, enter your Year, Make, Model and Submodel into the vehicle selector found just below the price. You'll then find detailed info on the part. Here's a tip: that works all over the site, so don't be shy putting in that vehicle info. Thanks, Rob
