My wife wanted more aggressive stopping in her LR so after looking around we selected these and I am glad we did. Her truck stops better than ever. They seem a little noisier than OE but it's a "boy, I sure am stopping this thing" sound versus a squeaking sound (hope that makes sense). I haven't noticed a change in brake dust yet so keeping my fingers crossed there. They are more expensive than many pads but they do what we wanted so I didn't ding the price/value rating. Highly recommended!
Stop means stop! There is no gray area when it comes to braking. You go fast, and you want to stop fast. That’s why finding the best brake pads on the market is such an important decision. With a bird of prey’s eye for stopping, Hawk brake pads give you the control you need--when you need it most.
Cleaning the brakes on your car, truck or SUV isn’t always a simple task. But, if you want to ensure the best performance from your braking system, you’ll want to follow these steps to give your brakes the care and maintenance they need.
Installing brake pads and making them last isn’t as simple as slapping on a new set and going on your merry way. Incorrect brake-in procedures transforms hard-earned money into worthless piles of brake dust or worse. Sadly, an extremely important step is often overlooked: the brake pad bed-in process.
