The original performance rotor is still king of the road. Dominating stock replacement rotors and the flood of foreign knock-offs, StopTech SportStop Slotted Brake Rotors are the perfect way to get superior, reliable braking for your daily driving activities.
The proof is in the process used to make StopTech SportStop Slotted Brake Rotors. Only the best castings from top foundries are used in StopTech Rotors, which are held to tight control standards that ensure quality. And, StopTech SportStop Slotted Brake Rotors are topped by a protective black e-coating on the hats and edges.
The vented design of StopTech SportStop Slotted Brake Rotors keeps your brakes cooler, to extend pad life and improves stopping time. Plus, moisture stays clear of the rotor surface for better bad-weather braking.

These rotors are great. I paired them with some Akebono ceramic pads and i must say i am impressed with the braking power and they look amazing compared to the OEM rotors. Now my car feels and looks even more badass...

Perfect fit, easy to install. Braking is perfect again, even going down a long hill, without any vibration or shaking of steering wheel. Only time and milage will tell how well they last! Ask me again in a year!

I only have maybe a couple hundred miles on them so far, but that are smooth as silk and I have no complaints. I replaced them myself (with a little supervision) and had no problems. A day at the track will be the real test.

I went with the StopTech Slotted Rotors (and Akebono ceramic pads) to get more life and less dust compared to Volvo OEM. These rotors look great, but I gave four stars for appearance for two small superficial blemishes (probably some packaging smudge) on of the them. They look great on the car. Friction surface appears excellent. No signs of lateral runout. Burnishing went fine. Installation fit perfectly; did all four corners myself.

Stop Tech slotted rotors have so far been great. I'm not a hard driver so I cannot give specifics on these vs originals but they seem to provide a bit better stopping power under my tyoical stop & go driving. I'm pleased so far. RHS

Hi My rotors are being replaced every 35,000km. I am looking for rotors that will last and perform longer. Any recommendations. Thanks Harry.

Hi, There are quite a few factors that affect rotor wear including driving style, sticking calipers, the style of pads used, driving in dusty areas and whether the brake pad bed-in process was followed. While the StopTech Slotted Rotors are a good choice, their longevity depends on the braking system they're being installed in. Make sure to check in the braking system periodically and your rotors will last longer.

Why are the Power Slot rotors better than normal rotors? Do the slots have a purpose?
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Jul 23, 2012 5:34 PM
Hello Lonnie. The quality of material and construction of the power slot rotors helps prevent extreme heat from causing damage to the rotor and they tend to hold up better. The slots have added benefits of helping pull debris and gasses released by hot brake pads away from between the pad and rotor allowing the pad to get a good grip on the rotor. It also helps shed water in rainy conditions. Thank you for your questions.
