"I bought the Hawk pads for my Sienna minivan to tow with. So far they outperform the after market pads I purchased from an auto parts outlet. The real test will be when I tow a trailer to Florida from Chicago."

"I have used these pads on several cars and trucks and have had the best braking of all the pads I've tried. Confident even stops. Towing heavy loads is easy with these pads. No fade even when they are warm. Highly recommended."

Best Brakes for Acura TL w/ Brembos

"Hawk HPS pads are the best I've ever used. I thought other brake pads like the EBC Green Stuff would be just as good, since it won some awards. I also purchased the EBCs to save about $20 because these Hawk pads are over 100 dollars, but it wasn't worth it. EBCs had a lot of brake squeal, even with grease, and after the burn in.
The Hawk pads required a very light burn in, absolutely no squeaks and the performance is amazing. The brakes respond quickly, and there is much more modulation with these. I've had Hawk pads on my 350Z before and I was equally impressed at the increase in performance over the stock pads.
If you are looking to upgrade stopping power, this is the quickest and cheapest way without needing to get cross-drilled rotors or a big brake kit."

"I've had these on my van for a few years now, they work well as replacement pads when used with the PowerSlot rotors. When they are new, they are slightly noisy, but after they break in for a few miles there is absolutely no problem with any noise. I'm using them on a Caravan that is way under-braked right from the factory. When I first installed them, I was stopping slightly short of the intended stop. That alone was enough evidence that they are way better than stock brakes. They do seem to wear out a little quick, but it's a minor price to pay for the improved performance. Overall I would have to highly recommend them to anyone that drives somewhat aggressive."

"I have read about the hawk pads in car magazines, so I wanted to try them since the stock pads are noisy and generate lots of brake dust. I had the dealer install them for me about 2 weeks ago, in the front only. I like their stopping power and the less dust they produce. the pads were a little noisy in the beginning but now it seems the noise level is decreasing. I'm considering installing Hawk pads in the rear too."

"This car has inadequate brakes front and rear, but what do you expect for a econo car. Front rotors would warp so I replaced with Brembo rotors and Hawk pads. This stopped the hideous squeal from the front brakes and provides good braking performance. So far no rotor warp but I really haven't heated them up bad either. Overall, this combo seems better that OEM."

"These pads went on a Infinity FX35 and for those who have driven the later models Nissans and Infinity know that they have a very aggressive initial bite stock. After changing the the Hawk HPS, it did seem to have a slightly softer initial bite compared to the stock pads, but the stock pads did fade fairly quick with a few hard stops. These pads are more fade resistant and seem to hold up well. These pads are pretty good, but a little expensive and will probably buy them again."

"I was quoted $195 for a factory issue pair of front pads fro my 2007 Acura TL Type S. Started looking around for other reputable brands and someone recommended HAWK. My mechanic installed them in 40 minutes and immediately I noticed a difference. Good initial bite, minimal fading, low brake dust. Only thing I could complain about was a little bit of noise the first couple of hundred miles(goes away eventually). Best part is, I saved $100 and still got great pads."

Hawk HPS brake pad upgrade for 2002 Acura MDX

"Just upgraded my 2002 Acura MDX to Hawk HPS pads. Installation was straight-forward, and took about 2 hrs for all 4 wheels. After bedding the pads I'd say there was a noticeable difference in the car's braking. In particular, the Hawk pads have much better initial bite and continue to grip progressively with pedal input. They convey a real increase in confidence in the braking of this 4300lb vehicle. Recommended."
