Performance brake pads are fantastic, giving the advanced driver more stopping bite on city streets and the chance to sneak onto the track occasionally. They come with one major drawback, though: dust. That is, until Hawk changed performance brakes.
Hawk Ceramic Brake Pads carry the tradition of stopping strength you expect from Hawk, yet leave the extra dust, well, in the dust. Thanks to these specially engineered Hawk Ceramic Brake Pads, performance drivers with sweet wheels have an alternative that preserves shine.
Hawk Ceramic Brake Pads are also rotor-friendly and low-noise, reducing friction and vibration like a Hawk pad should. They fit fast in place of stock pads, and Hawk Ceramic Brake Pads come burnished and ready to be bedded. What's even better, your Hawk Ceramic Brake Pads carry a Lifetime Warranty.
Why not stop your ride with the best of all worlds? For low dust, minimized noise and top performance, swoop down on Hawk Ceramic Brake Pads.
Our 210+ Hawk Performance Ceramic Brake Pads customer reviews have an average rating of 4.50 out of 5 stars. To see specific reviews about your vehicle, please select your year, make and model from the drop down above.

My stock breaks felt like I was stopping a full sized heavy car. These are a tremendous improvement in stopping power. My car stop when I need it to with less effort while maintaining comfort. It feels like I'm stopping a little economy car now!

The C6 with the Z51 package includes drilled and slotted rotors that are notorious for brake squeal and excessive dust. This is very annoying in a convertible. The Hawk Ceramic pads eliminated the annoying break squeal. I also put new Chrome wheels on the Vette and the brake dust experienced with the stock pads has been greatly reduced with the Hawk pads. Stopping power is noticeably improved. Highly recommend these for aggressive street driving.

the brakes on my Audi A8 were in great condition. I just hated the Black Brake dust on the aluminum wheels. I still have not installed the back brakes because there are electric motors involved. I don't have a dealer near by so I must wait for while to get the rears installed. So far, the brakes are working great, just more involved than the ford or chevy that i am used to doing!

Hi John, If your original pads have wear sensors embedded into the friction material, wear sensors will be included. If they clip on the outside of the pad, they will not be included.

The photo seems to show these come with a replacement wear sensor. Is that the case for a 2006 Land Rover LR3?
Answered by Nathan S. — Dec 20, 2012 2:27 PM
Hello, If your factory has a wear sensor embedded in the pad material it will include a sensor. If the sensor clips to the back of the pad, it will not be included.

I just purchased a front set and a rear set for my 2010 Infiniti g37x sedan. What would be the best brake fluid to use with these brakes for someone that drives somewhat aggressively?
Answered by Anonymous — Nov 26, 2012 12:19 PM
For aggressive driving it's better to upgrade your pads to a performance selection and your rotors to a slotted and/or drilled style. They get rid of heat much more efficiently allowing better braking performance

What does bedding the new brake pads with the new or used rotors mean?
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Sep 07, 2012 4:24 PM
Hello. Bedding is the process of breaking in your new pads and rotors. First, you make sure everything is clean, which means if you're using existing rotors, get all of the transfer film off. Then, when you install the pads, apply your brakes from a moderate speed (25 to 35 mph) several times to create film on the rotors. Do a couple of hard stops at higher speeds (40mph is good). Let the brakes cool off after this.

Given that the Hawk Performance Ceramic Brake Pads are available only for the front wheels, which rear brake pads do you recommended to use with this ones? My car is a Jeep Liberty 2009.
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Aug 03, 2012 2:34 PM
Hello. You are correct that the4 Hawk Ceramic pads are not available for the rear of your 2009 Liberty. The majority of your braking occurs at the front and it makes perfect sense to put your best foot forward. The Hawk HPS pads are an excellent choice for the rear. Keeping the set in the Hawk family is a great idea.
