Brake service decision: OEM or Upgrade

"At 45,000 miles, my 2007 Ford Fusion brakes still had some life left in them, but there was just enough warpage in the front rotors to warrant repair or replacement. My experience is that machineing the rotors is only short term fix, so I decided to replace all 4 rotors and pads. The EBC rotors provided a nice performance and appearance upgrade for a reasonable price (if you DIY.) I just finished the bedding process but I still have 4 snow tires on the vehicle, so I won't experience the full potential for a few more weeks."

Smart Upgrade or Maintenance Replacement

"My stock rotors warped from "spirited" use, so not only was it time to replace both the pads and rotors as part of normal maintenance. Upgrading to the slotted & dimpled rotors gives my rotors an edge in performance and hopefully durability. Time will tell for sure, but you can't argue with the physics and theory. And as far as price, I say I saved money on the upgrade by doing the replacement myself versus having the shop/dealer do the work."

"The rotors I purchased were for the real wheels of my vehicle and to my suprise my vehicle is a front wheel drive train I noticed an drastic increase in stopping power. I now how EBC sport rotor on all for wheel with the red stuff pads. My only knock is that they do not come already drilled and slotted and my mechanic could not get them done. Nonetheless; they work great."

"Just installed these rotors on my Infiniti FX35 (front and rear) along with EBC Greenstuff pads. They fit perfectly/exactly (compared with the original Infiniti/Nissan parts) and I had no issues during the installation.
I haven't put enough miles on them yet to give a true review but so far they feel very good and provide excellent stopping power (no noise other than the air whooshing sounds as mentioned by EBC due to the design [slots]) which is not an issue for me."

"I replaced the Rotors and Pads on my truck using these Sport Rotors and EBC Green Stuff Pads. Installation was simple, parts meet the standards for my vehicle. A very slight humming sound was present during the first 100 miles or so of break-in, but that was to be expected. My braking is now smooth, and I have no unusual issues to report after the first 500 miles of use."

"So far so good, but I have not been able to truly evaluate them. The Dodge truck is well known for having crappy stock rotors. I was tired of replacing them every year.
I just put these new rotors on with the green pads. Good stopping power. Only time will tell if they out last the stocks. hopefully the vents will keep them cool so that they do not warp."

"I use the EBC Green Supreme Brake Pads with the sport rotors. They are definitely better than the stock rotors whick warped after just 20,000 miles. There is wind noise with the rotors becasue of the slots but it is a small price to pay for improved braking. If you don't open the windows when you drive, you probably won't hear much of the noise."

"The item is fine, but the EBC website specs out the wrong P/N for my Ford Ranger 2001 4X4.
I purchased the wrong part from one of your competitors, whose own data base matched EBC's. It cost me 20% restock fee (I had the item for more than 21 days) plus return shipping."

"I bought a set of rear EBC Sport Rotors. I have over 800miles on them now and I think they are very good. I was skeptical about buying these rotors over the more expensive Brembo rotors. I think I made a wise choice for my money. I do normal every day driving with the occasional getting on it. The rotors work great no noise, no grabbing feeling and very easy to install on my car. If your up in the air about what rotors you want to get give these a try. They even come turned for you."
