Heat is the mortal enemy of your brake system. Every time you tap the pedal, friction sends the temperature of your discs sky-high. It's even worse during spirited driving, emergency halts, and stop-and-go traffic. Keeping your discs cool as cucumbers is essential for optimal braking performance, and that's exactly what your EBC Sport Rotors do.
The secret behind the EBC Sport Rotor's cooling powers is simple: wide-mouth slots. Like fans, these grooves draw air over the rotor's surface to chill the discs. Plus, dirt, grime and dust pass through these slots out to the rotor's edge. And, a cleaner rotor means you get even pad wear, extended durability, and better looks.
To block brake fade, your EBC Sport Brakes sport precision dimples. They breakdown brake gases for firm pedal response. What's more, the gold or black anodized-zinc coating fights off surface rust and adds Grand Prix-inspired style to your rotors. Backed by a 6-month/5,000-mile warranty.

I replaced my badly worn stock brakes ( cracked rotors and I'll fitting pads) with the sports rotors and yellow stuff pads. The instillation was quick and easy. Fittment was perfect! After just a couple of minutes of break in time they feel smooth, strong and precise. I'm very happy with the up-grade!

I have had EBC brakes on my 02 Camaro ss for 6 years now, and these brakes are by far the best ones I have ever purchased! The rotors not only look sick, but they are made of good steel without a lot of impurities that cause other rotors to warp under extreme heat. These rotors and brake pads work EVEN BETTER the hotter they get instead of fading. The rear pads I just changed 2 weeks ago after the first set lasted 6 years!!! Truly an awesome product, highly recommend

I bought the rotors for my 2008 chevy avalanche and they are performing well. Stopping on a dime in wet weather. I'll come back during the snow and let you know. The rotors were easy to install and took about an hour and a half for both.

Is it normal that after driving 1200+ kilometers the rotors are still making " Scratching " noises??? Its quite annoying.. They are supposed to be better quality than OEM...But at this point OEM is better as they dont make annoying noises....?!?!?

"A qualified brake shop can machine slotted and drilled rotors on a brake lathe" ???????????????? i read this over and over...does not make sense to me? Am i not reading properly or is it just bad grammar?

Hi, It's impossible to tell not knowing the pads that were installed with them, or if the break-in procedure was followed. A qualified brake shop can machine slotted and drilled rotors on a brake lathe (yes, it's possible) and will give you a fresh start when combined with new pads.

Hi. I was wondering when the rotors are colored in ionized zinc or black, do the mean the whole rotor or just the middle part? For instance, in your sample picture, the gold is entirely gold, whereas the black is only black in the middle & silver for the rest of the rotor like stock ones. Thanks for your time .

Hi, Unless you have composite rotors, any cast iron rotor is going to rust when exposed to moisture, regardless of brand.

I was wondering if there is a break-in period for these rotors? If so, how long? What to do during the break-in period (soft-braking, no immediate, hard stops)? Thanks.

I have a 1999 Chevy Tahoe LS and I’m towing a Big Tex 40 SP trailer with two four wheelers. I’m looking to upgrade my rotors and brake pads up front. I was looking at these EBC sport rotors and wondering if that sounded right.

Hello. The only other item that I would suggest for you would be the EBC Yellow Stuff brake pads. The link below will take you to a product page with some more information.

Hi, I am trying to find out if the EBC discs and pads are made in the USA? If anyone has ordered these please let me know. Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark, EBC brakes are made in Bristol, England. In fact the motto at EBC Brakes is NOT to import any brake product from third world countries and to manufacture every piece possible in its own facilities.

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 About 50% of my driving is in the mountains & sometimes with a small trailer. I have alot of vibration braking when going downhill. I'm trying to deside between the EBC Ultimax Slotted Rotors or the EBC Sport Rotors both with the EBC Green Supream pads (only replacing the fronts right now). I also don't want a squealing rotor, noise would be an issue. What is my best EBC choice? Is another brand a better choice??

Get the sport rotors...i drive mostly mountains with mine and they've been great. No noise, jitter, warping. I paired them with the green stuff brake pads...I'm about to install the same on my other car. That's how good they are!

Its better to use a lower gear when going down hill and use your brakes only when absolutely necessary. The Sport Rotors should probably be good enough.
