Let's face it: most brake pads squeal like a stuck pig. And, there's nothing more annoying (or embarrassing) than hearing that ear-piercing shriek, especially in stop-and-go traffic. For whisper-quiet brakes that still deliver an aggressive grip, get your hands on a set of EBC Ultimax Brake Pads. These direct replacement pads fit like stock, but they're miles ahead of any factory brakes.
Keen engineering is what makes your EBC Ultimax Brake Pads so silent. Their beveled edges and factory-fitted shims turn down the volume on you brake pedal. Plus, the chamfered rim fights off edge lifting to block against corrosion and pad-separation.
Even better, your EBC Ultimax Brake Pads' special blend of synthetic and metallic fibers gives you smooth braking, a firm bite, and extended life. There's even a unique Break-In surface coating for near instant bedding, and the center-line slot stops heat cracks. EBC also covers your Ultimax Brake Pads with a 6-month/5,000-mile warranty.
Our 130+ EBC Ultimax Brake Pads customer reviews have an average rating of 4.50 out of 5 stars. To see specific reviews about your vehicle, please select your year, make and model from the drop down above.

Noticed the difference immediately after I completed installation -- previously installed was a no-name performance brake pad. Have much better brake pedal feel, better stopping power, reduced distance. The only minor difficulty that took some getting used to was the much stronger initial bite when the brake pedal is pressed down. Definitely some dusting visible on new rims, but well worth it for the vastly increased stopping power.

Only complaint was the non-squeal lining being at the bottom of the box. Didn't find the material until all the brakes were installed. So it never made it on th car. Brakes squealed until break in was completed.

THEY STOP ON A DIME SOME BRAKE DUST BUT THAT CAN BE CONTROLLED BY USING A WHEEL COATING FROM MEGUAIRS OR TURTLE WAX. ABSOLUTLY NO NOISE. THEY STOP MY HEAVY 2004 NISSAN MAXIMA, NOW, INSTEAD OF LATER!!!!!!!!!!!

I was looking for some new brakes and rotors for my girlfriend's car and ended up getting these. The overall price initially drew me in. After researching EBC pads i was confident in my decision. These have been awesome. NO noise and are quite responsive. If you were wondering, I paired them with some Brembo blanks and I couldn't have been happier. As far as brake dust goes, I would rate it just a tad over OEM.

I am a professional mechanic and typically ONLY buy OEM dealer parts. I gave these a try because of all the great reviews I read prior to purchasing. I can honestly say these pads not only meet OEM standards but surpass them, honestly. I personally used the factory metal backing plates and used the supplied brake grease. Fitment is perfect, absolutely no squeaks whatsoever. They bite better then OEM stock. Will DEFFINiNTLY purchase these again. I give them a 10 out of 10 stars.

These EBC Ultimax are great quality for the price. After the break in period, these are quiet and definitely performs like when the truck was new. This is the 2nd time around using EBC, definitely will use these from now on.

Too early to give a detailed review since I only have them in for 300 miles! I had to modify the front pad backing due to rough finishing , they were not sliding in the caliper mount. Did a little smmothing out with a file and it was ok.I'll write another review later about the performance ,once they settle in after a few thousand miles.

I replaced the front brake pads on my 2006 Honda Element with EBC Ultimax heavy duty pads. The new pads were a perfect fit and included backing shims that attached with a self adhesive backing. A packet of grease was included to make the replacement easier. I'm planning on replacing the pads in the rear as well with EBC pads.
