Description

The streets are made for more than just commuting. All that pavement laid out in front of your hood is an open invitation to red-line your speedy auto. Staying in complete control of your high-octane ride is essential in this environment, and that’s why you need EBC’s Red Stuff Brake Pads. The ceramic blend in these performance pads is made special for muscle cars, swift European autos, and other mean street machines. In fact, they’ve been shown to stop sports cars up to 42 feet ahead of OEM pads!

Your EBC Red Stuff Brake Pads bite hard, but they don’t leave behind nasty dust residue like other high-performance parts—50% less dust, in fact. And, you won’t hear them screaming bloody murder when you hit the brakes. Their beveled edges, center-line slot, and ceramic mixture keeps the noise down to a minimum.

There’s nothing tricky about installing your EBC Red Stuff Brake Pads. They’re custom made for a direct replacement of your factory pads. They even come with a 6-month/5,000 mile warranty.

"The first 200 miles, I tried to use my brakes as litte as possible, just like the directions specify. After that I started to get on them a little at stop lights and such, just to test them out. A few days later, some one pulled out in front of me and I had to slam the brake pedal. My girlfriend wasn't wearing her seatbelt and was nearly permanently attached to the dashboard. They have taken some time to get used to put they are unbelievably grippy, very quiet, and extremely smooth. I would highly recommend these pads to anyone looking for an upgrade or for anyone that is ready for new pads."

"This is the second set of these I've used. Great pads. You will get some noise at the beginning until the break-in coating wears off. Lasted 1.5 times as long as the factory pads, better stopping power and feel. Also wore much more evenly than factory pads. I'll keep using them. Better than alternative "performance" pads I used in the past that squeaked continually as long as they were on the car."

"This is my second set of EBC Red Stuff Brakes on my 2006 Porsche Cayenne. Their performance an life is much better than stock. Very low dust and shorter stopping distance. The only negatives are that you have to brake in the brake pads and rotor and it takes a stop or two to warm the brake pads up on a cold day. My third set of EBC brakes and second set of rotor. I would not use anything else. They are worth the extra effort and cost."

"Still in the brake in period for the Infiniti M45 that they were install on (also replaced rotors with Ultimax rotors and brake lines). Read the instructions on proper brake in on the EBC website before buying incase you are not familiar with the product. For now, I can say easy install and quiet operation. My order of the brake pads arrived quickly (couple of days), the rotors took a bit longer."

"My main goal was to purchase the best brake pads for a street driven vehicle to add an edge of safety and I found it with EBC Red Stuff. Before I made my purchase I read the other reviews and a lot of them talk about noise problems, that worried me. After I installed them on my wife's car my worries are over and I agree with the EBC company that says most problems of noise are from improper instalation. The car now stops so fast in an emergency situation that you have to pay more attention to cars behind you. I will purchase nothing but EBC Brakes in the future. Anything less is a waste of money!"

"I matched these EBC RED STUFF brake pads with some EBC dimpled and slotted rotors. The braking is impressive, even compared to other high-performance pads I have used previously (Hawk, Axxis). So far, these give off much less dust than previous high-performance pads, too. My car is pretty heavily modified, so I was really glad to find a set of pads that offer such excellent braking with the stock calipers! I am very satisfied with my purchase, and I would definitely recommend these pads to a friend."

"It's hard to quantify without doing some testing, but the new Red Stuff pads certainly improve brake feel (more positive) over the older replacement ceramic pads I was using, and I wouldn't be surprised if stopping distance is improved. Of course, turning the rotors helped, too, but I have no regrets on choosing these pads. No noise, by the way."

"The pads were a breeze to install and fitment was just about perfect. The paint rubbed on the edge of the rotor, but that wore off after 10 miles so now it is a perfect fit. The pedal feel was softer than expected during the break-in period, but only took a couple days to finsh breaking in, and now they work great. They are great from cold - general city and highway use. The better feature is the bite while hot. They perform well on the track just as they were designed for. I didn't notice any brake fade after a long day at the track."

"Almost no break dust but have a bit of a noise to them. I'm hoping that goes away after a little longer break in period. I matched these with a set of the EBC slotted and dimpled rotors. I would recommend not getting dimpled or drilled rotors. WAY TOO MUCH NOISE!! Just stick with slotted only."

"I drive a 2005 Pontian Grand Prix GTP, compG, and have had to deal with brake chatter since about 10,000 miles, It fianlly got so bad that the steering wheel would jump. I had read great reviews about EBC sport rotors and "red stuff" ceramic brake pads. There were extremely easy to install, and what a difference! I don't race, but my drving style is "spirited" and often travel on mountain roads, after one week, I'm sold. Brake dust is much less than anticipated, stopping power is phenominal!"

"I bought the EBC Red Stuff Brake Pads primarily to reduce the inevitable brake dust with my A4. I was a little worried I'd be trading performance for appearance, but was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the stopping power they provide. My brake dust is noticeably reduced and they stop as well, if not better, than my OEM brake pads. I will definitely buy these again."
