The world is full of bolt-on performance accessories that boost your horsepower to hair-raising levels. Unfortunately, modifying your braking system to keep up with all that newfound thrust used to be a complex affair best left to the pros. Not anymore. With a custom designed set of Russell Brake Lines, you easily swap your tired factory lines without tricky modifications.

Whether you're cruising around town in a commuter or a high-performance track star, Russell Brake Lines dish up serious stopping strength. Unlike factory brake hoses, Russell Brake Lines are built from braided stainless steel with zinc-plated fittings. This sturdy construction prevents them from expanding, so they maintain the right amount of pressure for faster stops and firmer pedal feel.

Best of all, Russell Brake Lines are completely street legal in all 50 states. Because they meet DOT guidelines, you can run them anywhere without fear of the authorities cracking down. And, they're backed by a 1-year warranty.

    Can't feel difference yet....

Reviewed by Bee L (FRESNO, CA) Reviewed for a 2004 Acura RSX — May 29, 2014 8:55 AM

I was expecting a different feel to my brake pedal after installation. Changed rotors, pads, and lines. Have yet to notice any difference after 1k miles.

Shipping was fast, the brake lines installed out and in. Had to fit fifth line on OE bracket, grind off strap and drill hole to fit Russell split block which was easy mounting in stock location. The lines seem to increase pedal firmness and I shouldn't ever have to replace them again. Very happy thanks for a good price also... Bullitor.

Installation of the brake hoses was straight forward. The included instructions were clear and accurate. The brake pedal is significantly more firm than before with the very old factory rubber hoses. I highly recommend. They will probably be the last brake hoses I install for the life of my car.

    Russell brake line for s10/V8

    Reviewed by Calvin G (Altoona, FL) — May 10, 2014 8:42 PM

Ordered Russell brake lines for my 52 Chevy truck with S10 frame. Three lines, went on easy with hand tools and no leaks first time. The truck stopped before but now I just lay my foot on the brakes and it starts stopping with stronger pedal and better feel. Easy upgrade!

    Fit well, feel great

Reviewed by Peter S (PITTSBURGH, PA) Reviewed for a 2002 Ford Focus — Mar 18, 2014 8:24 PM

I replaced the stock lines on my car with these, and the pedal does feel firmer with hard braking pressure. Installed easily. Recommend using the original clips to hold the lines to the car, the ones that came on the new lines let the lines slide around a bit. Not a big problem though.

    Parts work

    Reviewed by David R (Fullerton, CA) Reviewed for a 1971 Datsun 240Z — Mar 03, 2014 9:44 AM

The parts work, but the picture was deceiving, I was under the impression they went from hard line to brake caliper. This was not the case, which required purchase additional parts. The cost charge was much more than anticipated and has set me back on my car repair.

I think that these braided brake lines are the best thing that ever happened to brakes. I have used these lines before and they improved braking and stopped pedal fade completely. Yes I rate these lines on a scale of one to ten a ten plus. Easy to install and well worth the money, thanks so much for the prompt delivery.
