Seems to me so far these brake pads have lower dust & a little better braking power than the cheapos you get at the local auto parts store.

How can I describe what my old dealer installed semi-metallic replacement brakes sounded like? NAILS DOWN THE BLACKBOARD. MARIAH CAREY HOLDING A SUPER HIGH NOTE FOR 5 minutes, These don't begin to describe the ultra annoying high pitch shrill that my previous brakes made. I have chrome rims and those breaks left a THICK black layer of SOOT not dust on them. I took my RAM back to the dealership 3 times and they said it was normal. They even replaced them with the SAME brand ??? Finally after just 3 months, I couldn't take it any more. I ordered these HAWK HPS front brakes. I noticed the difference immediately, Super quiet, smooth pedal feel, and No vibration. From now on HAWKS are all I will put on my truck. After a little research, I found out that Chrysler and other auto manufacturers went to semi-metallic brakes because they were sued by mechanics who say they were made sick by the asbestos in the older quieter brakes. The asbestos was later banned from brake pads.
