Hawk Superduty Brake Pads Part #HB323P.724 Customer Reviews
Reviewed by Mark W (Grand Blanc, MI) Reviewed for a 2003 Chevy Tahoe — Aug 20, 2014 9:13 AM
I have used these pads on my 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe twice now. The first set was not worn out, but the discs were in need of replacement due to corrosion. the brake system on these vehicles is barely adequate, and these pads (along with SS braided lines) make the system function well enough to activate the surge brakes on my 5000# boat trailer. Dust and noise are acceptable.

This is the second set of Hawk brake pads I have purchased and installed. The first set was on my 2001 Ford Taurus and they work well except for a light squeal that goes away as the car stops. The second set were heavy duty truck pads for a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 pickup. The owner's only comments after the installation were that they stopped fine but he heard a humming noise during initial braking. The brakes quieted down as the truck stopped. I think in both cases it is too early to tell. Stopping power and uniformity of stopping action versus pedal pressure was excellent in both cases.

I have a 2000 silverado and have had the worst brakes I have ever had, until now. I replaced the rotors with drilled and slotted rotors and replaced the brake lines with D.O.T. stainless lines and the pads with hawk HP superduty and now the brakes are the best I have ever had. I have seasoned the rotors and bedded in the pads and they work great.
