I have a 2012 SHO with the performance pkg, which included more aggressive pads. These have much better bite once they warm up and avg grip when cold. Not sure I would use these in a cold climate. Overall, here in Florida they are better than stock and give a decently firm pedal.

I have a 2010 Ford Explorer with 5200 miles on it when I changed the front pads to Hawk. They do have a better feel them the OEM brakes. So far so good.

I can feel the Hawks grabbing better and harder when I apply the brakes. I will give them a real workout next week when I tow my car to Watkins Glen (5000 pounds, up and down the hills of the Finger Lake region of New York).

When you compare the OEM pads, to the Hawk pads, you can immediately see the difference. The Hawk's are made better, fit was perfect, and are heat and stress relieved in the appropriate locations. The inclusion of the high temperature grease with the pads, shows attention to detail with their products. The stopping distance and pedal force, were reduced with the Hawk pads. It's easy to go fast, but if you want to stop fast also, then these are the pads you should have for your families safety.
