Hawk Brake Pads Review

To Whom It May Concern, I have found the Hawk Brake Pads to be powerful, and smooth. I can spot a quality product a mile away, and these pads seem to fit the bill. It took a long time to get them, and I would have liked them to have a bit nicer appearance, but since they're great brake pads I can deal with that. I will recommend them, and AutoAnything, to my friends. Thank You For Everything, David Taggart

I installed these on a 2005 Ranger and matched them with a set of power slot rotors. I've only had then on for a couple of days but so far they seem to far superior to the OEM. Very quiet and great stopping power.

The Hawk Performance Brake Pads are replacing another brand of Ceramic Pads that did not live up to their claims as being "the best". I have used Ceramic Pads for many years and this is my first experience with "Hawk". The first set that I used was a "name brand" and lasted for over 80,000 miles on my Ford Ranger. I replaced with a national auto parts chain brand that lasted for less than 20,000 miles. I put a set on my new Ford Explorer Sport Track at the same time as the Ranger and they lasted 16,000 and were more than 75% gone. I read several reviews about Hawk and feel that they will do the job. They are really quiet and smooth.

I installed these on the front of a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer. I installed a new set of Brembo rotors at the same time. I did everything by the book (including the proper bedding-in process after installation) and all they do is squeal very loudly as you are coming to a stop. I am not sure if the noise will ever stop. I never had this problem with the many standard pads I have replaced over the years. They were easy to install and they seem to stop the car just fine, but I will not buy ceramics again.
