This was my first time installing brake pads. After researching I decided to go with the Hawk PC pads.Installation was a breeze. Some reviews stated they were noisy. From backing out of garage to going through break in procedure, I never heard any noise. As far as dust, there is none.Factory Mintex pads gave off a ton of dust. After driving around for 2 weeks, rims are still clean.I would highly recommend these brake pads.

It is a little early to say what changes are over OE pads as it is only the second day of use. So far they are quite in operation and give excellent feedback through the foot when braking. No doubt they will become better as the miles ramp up.

They do not come with the pad wear sensor that was needed on my vehicle. They continue to squeal even after being greased on the caliper. The stopping power is great. Direct fit installation. Just wish there was a way to stop the squealing sound. I took it to local brake shop I trust and they said that these pads may stop squealing over time but that they are made to use only with slotted and cross-drilled rotors and that is why they are squealing.

The stopping power of these Hawk Performance Ceramic Brake pads is as good as the Audi OEM pads, and do not get hot under regular driving conditions! Low Brake dust (which was the primary reason why i chose these pads over the OEMs) reduced brake dust by more than 60%, no brake noise and was pretty easy to install. The price was very reasonable.I would use them again.

Easiest brake job ever. Wish that AutoAnything knew more about the brake sensor as it turned out to be a part idependent from the pads and they did not know that. OEM pads were shot at 40,000 highway miles.

Brakes squeal horribly when warmed up. Squeal was present when brakes are initial hit and from about 10 mph to 0 mph. I bedded them according to Hawk's procedures, tried anti-squeal brake lube, nothing worked. Two weeks and about 400 miles later the noise seems to be getting worst. Replaced them yesterday with Akebono Euro Pads. Brakes are as quiet as mouse so far. 2011 Audi S4
