Spend the extra bucks to get the best. I have used EBC for years,,,Explorer, Miata, and BMW. Long lasting and they stop the car.

Have used EBC on my performance Audi S4 and believe they are the best, so I decided to add them to my 2006 Ford Ranger 4X4. Feels like better bite and better yet, no more red-dusted rims!

Replacing the front brake pads was a must on my 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac as the old generic ones were nearly gone. After using the EBC Green Stuff brake pads on other larger p/u (2006 Dodge Ram), I decided to try them on the Explorer Sport Trac. Already with hi-performance slotted rotors, the combination with the new EBC Green pads made of course an instant difference. I guess your average driver won't care who makes the pads as long as they work. Reading a review in a well known national truck magazine helped me decide on this brand but personally I'm happy with them. No squeaks, smooth stopping power and brand reputation provided me with all the assurance I needed for a no brainer purchase.

I put these on a '05 Ford Ranger after the OEM pad wore out. No real complaint with the stock pads just thought I would do an upgrade. The EBC Green Stuff Pads seem to have better stopping power but not enough to justify the increased brake dust and absolutely ear drum shattering brake squeal. Considering they cost 3-4 times what OEM pads at the local parts store cost, I think I wasted my money. The pads are chamfered, slotted and have shims already attached. Not much more I can do. If out of some miracle they quiet down I'll post a retraction. But, I'm not holding my breath.
