1994 Golf GTI 2.0 stock brakes with new rotors ATE SL6 DOT 4 brake fluid 600 miles on pads. Initial fitment was average for after market pads. Pads were slightly oversize causing moderate initial dragging against the rotors. The antisqueal shim on one of the front pads separated right out of the box. With a good coat of caliper grease there is very minimal noise. Dust is moderate. Initial bite is good. They bite even better when hot, as expected. They have survived many 100-0 stops and been lit on fire at least once with no noticeable fade. I would purchase them again.

having installed yellow stuff pads on my vw I've noticed a more solid brake feel(instead of spongy) and shorter stops. I just hope they last as long as oem pads. Why spend thousads of $$$ on big brake kits when a few dollars will buy yellow stuff.
