EBC Ultimax Slotted Rotors Part #USR1197 Customer Reviews
Reviewed by David S (WEST VALLEY CITY, UT) Reviewed for a 2007 Mazda 6 — Dec 07, 2016 8:21 PM
I received my rotors and EBC Green Stuff Brake pads a lot sooner than the expected date. I had a mechanic install the rotors and pads with no problems whatsoever. I just finished the bedding process and the brakes feel great. I will definitely be ordering the front set very soon. I was also totally satisfied with Auto Anything customer service, they verified the correct parts and were friendly and quick in the online chat session.

Works great with the "Green Stuff"! Take your time with the break-in process. Sounded awful initially but worked great after 10+ miles of stop and go at various speed. Still getting the new brake smell. This is because i brake late and hard sometimes (with cautions of course) to enjoy the performance of the brakes; so the brakes generated some heat and smell.

I purchased these rotors with the EBC Redstuff pads. I am overall pleased with the purchase and performance of these brakes. They are definatley better than the stock brakes so far. I have put about 2000 - 2500 on the car since the install. I have more pedal and stopping is incredible. There seems to be no fade at all. I did find a slider on my right front caliper stuck when installing. So that was good to get fixed. I am not sure if I needed the slotted or redstuff pads, but I like a little overkill on everything I purchase. Be careful when washing these rotors. Rinse well afterwards. Mine are stained with a whiteish residue from simple green when cleaning wheels. Yes, they were cool to the touch too when washed. These were purchased for a 2004 Mazda 6S with mild spirited driving. They handled the Ozark hills with ease. Thanks!

The installation of these rotors took a little while longer than I anticipated because I had trouble collapsing the cylinder for the new pads (nothing to do with the rotor). Break in seems to be going ok, just a little smell early on, but nothing now. Look great and I can tell the difference in stopping ability when I mash on the "binders".
