I am retracting what I said in a prior review. During my last brake pad replacement, I ran into problems with brake calipers. Through a process of elimination 1) possible bad resurfacing of the rotors and 2) possible bad calipers, I eventually found that the calipers were bad. Because I didn't resurface the rotors and HPS 5.0 pads after the multiple changes, the brakes didn't work properly. Hawk recommended 200 grit sanding of pads and rotors and rebedding as recommended. IT WORKED!

These are a decent replacement to the EBC red I had on the car that started crumpling off the backing plates of the the break pad. They are much quite and less brittle and just do what brakes are suppose to do (stop the car and not make any weird noised when braking) overall I am happy with them but they are a little pricey. I have put Hawks on my truck and my car now, no complaints and I hope they last!
