Great Stoptech Brake Kit for My '06 Acura TL

Reviewed By Joseph B (Belleville, NJ) Reviewed for a 2006 Acura TL —11/30/2014 10:02 AM

My brakes and rotors were on its last leg at $63K miles. I needed a better brake kit that could offer better stopping power and performance with little effort on the brake pedal and doing so quietly. I purchased this kit about 3 weeks ago and I must say that the brakes feel like I just bought my car yesterday. After the initial bed in process of the Posi Quiet Pads, the car stops on a dime! Even with gradual stops, a light press on the pedal is needed. Highly recommended and way better than OEM!

Great Value for the Price

Reviewed By Dianna T (Hyde Park, VT) Reviewed for a 2006 Acura TL —11/14/2014 8:17 PM

I just put on about 1000 miles to my new rear brake kit. They seem good so far. I really like the pads. We shall see with time how the rotors respond to heavy braking. I will be installing this same kit to the front in the next month or so.

Does the job

Reviewed By Lawrence H (RALEIGH, NC) Reviewed for a 1999 Acura TL —11/12/2014 7:37 AM

Rotors are nicely machined and finished. Pads fit correctly although one front pad was hard to install between the new anti-rattle springs. New anti-rattle springs and brake grease were included in the kit, and the pads came with replacement guide pin boots, all unexpected bonuses. Road test - the brakes stopped the car fast, straight and quietly. One small issue - the right front brakes occasionally "grunt" when finally stopping. Hopefully a break-in period will resolve.
