This is the first time for me using HPS 5.0 based. They braking performance is good & they are quite with no noise during braking.

Had upgraded front pads to Hawk HPS 5.0 and was pleased with the pads and less dust than stock. With Hawk on all 4 corners I can really feel the better response and quicker stop times. Highly recommended, better performance, very low dust and no noise. Brake fluid will be next.

I've recently wore out my stock rotors along with a set of Greenstuff EBC pads. After doing some research and reading nothing but great reviews about the Hawk HPS pads, along with numerous other Audi fanatics running the same pads, i purchased the Hawk HPS pads (front & rear) as well as 4 drilled rotors from Centric. The entire setup for this car ('92 Audi S4) was ~$400, including shipping. I imagined i'd feel some improvement in braking over the EBC Greenstuff, so after installing (just the pads takes about 15 minutes per wheel. The entire swap took ~3hrs in my garage) i went through the bed in process. 6-10 light stops from 30mph and 3 hard stops from 60mph. With the bed in process complete, i did my first brake test and was amazed at how much better the braking feels. The feramic material is far superior to the EBC pads. On dry pavement i was able to engage the ABS system. Something that was hard to accomplish on the EBCs. The pads make a low hum sound on hard braking but nothing that's noticeable unless you're listening for it. There is no squealing or vibrating of the pads within the calipers. So far, i have noticed that the HPS pads give off a lower level of brake dust than the EBC Greenstuff pads. At this price point and braking power, i will definitely purchase these pads again. Todd
