Replaced OEM rotors with at 33k miles while still under warranty

Reviewed By Mark K (Maine, NY) Reviewed for a 2007 Buick LaCrosse —6/19/2008 6:01 AM

My wife's 2007 Buick LaCrosse has experienced warped rotor problems with the OEM rotors. The dealer has been good, and we are at the point of replacing the rotors under warranty, but I was not interested in more problems in another 15k miles. After internet research, I selected the Power Slot rotors. We don't have many miles on the rotors at this time, but so far, so good. New Satisfied Pro-Ceramic pads were installed with the rotors and the pedal feel and braking response are much better than OEM - firm not spongy pedal with predictable initial brake engagement.

Best brake upgrade for the least money.

Reviewed By Robert S (Las Vegas, NV) Reviewed for a 2004 Ford F-150 —10/8/2017 3:12 PM

I was ok with the brakes on our 2004 F-150 Super Crew, but my wife test drives new and pre-production cars for a living and she started complaining about how soft and spongy our truck's brakes were compared to these new cars and trucks. I had already had stainless braided hoses on the 2004 Mercury Marauder I owned, and since it made a HUGE improvement on that car I decided to do the same for our F-150. The pedal is now much firmer and brakes respond quicker and stronger.
