Power Stop Truck & Tow Brake Kit Reviews

Nice upgrade to the braking system.

Reviewed By Brian S (AURORA, CO) Reviewed for a 2008 Chevy Silverado —10/24/2014 10:45 PM

Prior to installing the drilled & slotted rotors, my vehicle would experience brake throb or vibration's when traveling down a 6 mile grades of around 6% and running behind vehicles riding their brakes. This was a nice upgrade, it made a big difference. The ceramics are much softer, but still provide the braking power needed. The semi-metalic are much more grabby at initial touch. The kit was priced/compared the same to competitors single rotor.

Stock truck performance rotors

Best quality and price spent 30 mins to install break in process was easy. Purchased Duralast Cmax pads from autozone and installed with new Power Stop Cross Drilled and Slotted rotors and made stopping in a hurry the number one priority. Would recommend over stock rotors any day.

Overall, I'm pleased.

I needed new rotors, so I went ahead and purchased this as an upgrade. The install was pretty straight forward, and did have to grind a little off of the hub to make the adapters sit flat as described in the instructions. I haven't beat on these rotors yet, but they do feel like they provide better braking with the increased leverage. The rotors weigh 30.5 lbs, 6 more than the stock rotor. Since I have 22" wheels, I didn't really notice the extra weight. The coated rotors stay shiny too.
