EBC Green Stuff Brake Pads Reviews

EBC green stuff

Reviewed By darrell o (LONG BEACH, CA) Reviewed for a 2001 Chevy Silverado —11/7/2012 3:41 PM

After 156k miles on my original pads I thought I would try something different. Alittle research later, I decided to give EBC a try. Only have had them on a few weeks now so don't know about long term. But so far so good. Pads were alittle touchy at first, but seem to have broken in nicely. Alot of brake dust on the rims, but I would guess that goes with the break in period. Time will tell.

Too early to Tell

Reviewed By Michael M (Dearborn, MI) Reviewed for a 2001 Chevy Silverado —8/27/2008 4:15 PM

This is the second set of Hawk brake pads I have purchased and installed. The first set was on my 2001 Ford Taurus and they work well except for a light squeal that goes away as the car stops. The second set were heavy duty truck pads for a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 pickup. The owner's only comments after the installation were that they stopped fine but he heard a humming noise during initial braking. The brakes quieted down as the truck stopped. I think in both cases it is too early to tell. Stopping power and uniformity of stopping action versus pedal pressure was excellent in both cases.

Excellent Quality Pads

Reviewed By George R (Norcross, GA) Reviewed for a 1999 Chevy Silverado —1/20/2015 8:31 PM

I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 89,000 miles. This is the first time I have replaced the four wheel disc brakes. It was a very easy install and I am very happy with the results. My rotors did not need to be resurfaced or replaced. I did replace the brake fluid. My brakes are now better than when I purchased the truck (new) in 1999.
