Have you have ever driven away without releasing your parking brakes? If so, you know the awful feeling you get when you finally realize what an idiot you were. That was me when I brought home our "new to us" suburban. It took me a few minutes to realize that I didn't notice because they were not even engaging. My first stop that evening was on the net to get new parking brakes. These centric brakes are nothing special, but they were a breeze to install and do exactly what you want.

I was unable to install till a couple of days ago. I am not a mechanic only a retired person who has more time than money. I did the replacement of the shoes myself with no prior experience. I did photo the shoes prior to removal of the old ones and placed them in the order they came off. Then replaced the new shoes the way they were laid out. I was very happy that the replacement of the new shoes were so easy and the new ones work great.
