Brake Upgrade

Reviewed By Robert J (EDGEWATER, FL) Reviewed for a 2003 Chevy Tahoe —4/14/2014 1:18 PM

After having several close calls with my stock brakes after installing 20 inch wheels I decided after doing some research that these would help stop my 2003 Tahoe when I need too,I had them installed by a friend who had no problem at all, they seem to stop much better but i have not finished seasoning the rotors or bedding the pads. I'm sure once this process is done the brakes will be all that i want them to be.

Highly recommended

I purchased this set because I needed Just about everything calipers and all. I already had the larger brakes on the truck but just the oversized rotors stock calipers with GM brakes. I did not expect much improvement but after flushing brake system and taking my 2003 Tahoe out for a ride it felt much better. After 2 weeks of driving I am very happy and truck feels much safer to stop even since I purchased the vehicle new. My wife even noticed the difference unbelievably

Much better than stock equipment

Reviewed By Johnnie C (LAKELAND, FL) Reviewed for a 2008 Chevy Corvette —5/1/2014 5:35 AM

The stock rotors and calipers (with race pads equipped) were not providing enough stopping power for the Corvette Z06 on the Sebring raceway. The StopTech kit comes with street pads, so I ordered StopTech's SR32 race pads to use although the pad shape is a common one available from many different vendors. Regarding slotted vs. drilled rotors: The StopTech engineer said that drilled is for show; slotted is for the track. It's like I am driving a different car! Very happy!
