StopTech Slotted Brake Rotors

Reviewed By Mark S (NEW LENOX, IL) Reviewed for a 2003 Ford Expedition —12/22/2016 8:42 PM

I've had my StopTech Slotted Brake Rotors on the front for about two months and am very happy with them so far, so I bought them for the rear of my 2003 Expedition. Originally recommended by my mechanic who also has them on his 2012 Suburban.

Power Stop Rotors - 2003 Ford Expedition

Reviewed By Daniel B (Woodbury, MN) Reviewed for a 2003 Ford Expedition —10/20/2009 3:48 PM

I installed the power stop rotors with Hawk LTS pads two weeks ago. The rotors were an exact fit and run smoothly. Bedding the pads with agressive stops demonstrated improved braking, however it was difficult to be certain of an improvment over the OEM brakes since the ABS gets activated in hard stops. No warping occurred after more than ten agressive stops from 45 MPH even though it was obvious that the brake pads were throughly warmed up. Changing Ford Expeditions rotors is not easy because they are often solidly rusted to the hubs. I needed a gear puller and MAPP gas torch to remove mine.

Greatfor use on large SUVs.

Reviewed By Jody H (Ashton, MD) Reviewed for a 2010 Ford Expedition —3/15/2017 9:20 AM

I have a large/heavy SUV (Expedition EL) and I tow a toy trailers every now and then. I put these on front and back, along with EBC Orange 9000 Heavy Duty series pads. I knew going in that dust would be higher, due to pads. I also knew that having slotted/vented discs would cause more too. These brakes will stop me every time, even hauling a trailer through the mountains. Either you are getting low dust, or massive stopping power when it comes to large heavy vehicles.
