EBC Ultimax Slotted Rotors Reviews

EBC Ultimax Rotors perform and are affordable. Would buy again.

Put the EBC Ultimax rotors and EBC Yellowstuff pads for SUV's on a Yukon Denali XL. This is how brakes should feel and perform. The factory rotors and pads are not up to the task of heavy braking. Over time they got spongy and their performance faded. A big tuck has a lot of mass and it's important to know that you can stop it quickly from highway speeds repeatedly. I replaced the factory rotors and pads with Raybestos OEM-style units at 30,00 miles. At 65,000 miles the pads and rotors were heavily scored and ridged. The EBC rotors and pads are a revelation. The car stops noticeably faster, with much better and more positive feel. No fade, just great performance. And unlike many slotted rotors, these make no noise. I will buy these rotors and pads again for other vehicles. I paid about $300 for the rotors and pads, followed EBC's excellent brake installation DVD and installed them myself in under 2 hours. Instead of buying a a big brake kit for $5000, I spent $300 and got 90% of the performance. This is the smart money way to go. Highly reccommend.

After installing and breaking in the new rotors and pads I was pleasantly surprised at how much better they were than the OEM parts that were replaced. Of course, both the rotors and pads were upgrades from the OEM parts.
