EBC Ultimax Slotted Rotors Reviews

02' EP3 SI EBC Ultimax Slotted Rotors

Reviewed By Ku T (clearwater, FL) Reviewed for a 2002 Honda Civic —4/21/2013 4:49 AM

Upon first brake testing I experience a lot of friction noises coming from the front end of my car as if its going to fall apart but that's just the friction of the EBC green stuff pads biting the EBC ult slot rotors. After a few runs the noises went away and I notice the rotors weren't black anymore it turns silver after the black coating fades off. These are strong and enhance my braking distances greatly vs my OEM rotors. I like these will buy the rears next time.

Power Stop Z23 Brake Kit Reviews

Great Brakes

Reviewed By Bruce D (Saint Louis, MO) Reviewed for a 2008 Honda Civic —1/6/2016 4:47 PM

I bought these for a Honda Civic SI as I felt these would be perfect for daily driving with occasional spirited driving (no racing here). These brakes look great and were easy to install, they come with the brake lubricant in two purple packets labeled "H/D Brake and Clutch Lubricant Ceramlubr 2800°F Swiss Ceramic Formula www.ceramlub.com" so you do not need to buy brake lube separately. Brake in was easy and the brakes are nice and quiet with more than adequate braking and low dust.

Great Rotors

Reviewed By Darrel W (North Easton, MA) Reviewed for a 2008 Honda Civic —12/1/2015 5:07 AM

I have used EBC ultimax rotors before, and decided to give these a try, given a big promotion going on. The installation depends on your experience installing brakes. I had no trouble installing these, and following a break-in period, they help stop distance decrease significantly. There is a slight hum due to the dimples and slots, but if you don't mind that, they're great. Note: EBC rotors and pads do not need to be bedded in, rather just light braking for 500-1000 miles.
