Power Stop Brake Kit Reviews

Great Brakes

Installed these on all four corners and they work great. Easy install that went smoothly. The bag of abutment guides for the rears was torn and only three parts were inside but I just cleaned up the best old one and completed the install. Very powerful and smooth stops now.

First time installer

I'll admit that I was a little worried about installing brake rotors and brake pads for the first time, but after doing a decent amount of research, everything went pretty smoothly, all things considered. I do regret not using the grease supplied as there's a slight rubbing sound at a complete stop, but it's nothing to write your congressman about. As far as performance goes, it's night and day from the factory brakes. Very, little dust and the stops are really smooth. 300+ miles and no regrets!

EBC Sport Rotors Reviews

Time will tell.

Reviewed By Michael L (Phoenixville, PA) Reviewed for a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee —7/8/2010 7:12 PM

Replaced second set of OEM rotors at 70k miles. After about 25k miles on OEM's they would need to be turned then need to be replaced by 30-35k. So after second set of OEM's wore out, I decided to try EBC's. Replacement was easy and rotors ran true, no turning required. Used EBC Green ceramic pads, again replacement was easy. 300-400 easy miles and pads seated perfectly. The ceramics seem to have a tad less stopping power than OEM but a full on panic stop will still activate the ABS. Only complaint is black paint already rusting and machined slots and dimples immediatley rusted. Hopefully this doesn't cause any issues. We'll see in 20-25k miles if they are better than OEM.
