Hawk HPS Brake Pads Reviews

finally silence

I bought a new set of EBC slotted/dimpled rotors and added a set on Bendix pads. The combo squealed so bad the car was un drivable. So I dissasembled and added silicone backing to the Bendix pads to stop the noise. While it did help - it did not eliminate the squealing. So off I went I bought a set of these Hawk pads to replace the Bendix - holly crap what a difference. They came with high temp back plate grease - smeared that stuff on, slapped on the pads and blissful silence followed. I love these pads for stopping the most annoying noise in the world.

Hawk LTS pads for Jeep WJ

I have used many different pads on my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee but have finally settled on these. This is the 2nd pair and will not use any others. They are pricey but worth it. Have tried EBC yellowstuff at almost twice the price but prefer these. They shed some dust but they really brake. Pair them with EBC slotted rotors and you have a winning combination.

These brake pads rock...

Reviewed By Bill G (Saginaw, TX) Reviewed for a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee —11/19/2012 8:15 PM

Just purchased a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT 8. Anyone who is anyone knows these great vehicles come with a fantastic Brembo big brake kit from the factory, one of the great decisions that Chrysler/MB makes on the Jeep. The Brembo pads SUCK. They belch brake dust and have a tendency to make the great color of the rims disappear under thick, black dust. Changed the pads out at 1200 miles and with the additional 500 I have on them now...I am extremely pleased.
