Be careful first time out

Reviewed By Juan M (Wellington, FL) Reviewed for a 2005 Lotus Elise —7/31/2010 8:12 AM

I replaced the worn original pads on my Lotus Elise and after a quick break in I found a high initial bite with good solid braking. After a few weeks of mild road use, I was out on the track and found myself very disappointed (and nearly going off-track) during my first session. From there on out however, I had solid consistent braking. My advice is to be kind to the brakes your first few laps on the track with them, but then feel free to punish them next time out. I will be very inclined to try something else next time, but I am satisfied with my purchase.

OMG Such a Difference to the stopping of my Lotus!

Perfact pads, easy to replace, and awsome stopping power! Absolutely change the cornering and lead into of corners of my car. I have a ton more trust in the performance! And surprised in the small amount of brake dust compared to the stock or even brimbo pads!

Excellent

Reviewed By Rick C (Cedar Park, TX) Reviewed for a 2005 Lotus Elise —8/26/2009 7:24 AM

It's been about a week since I installed all four of these on my Lotus Elise. At first they screeched like the Banshee herself. But, they are getting much better now. So, the bedding-in process takes a long time. I drive about 100 miles a week. I'm not happy with the green color with my yellow brake calipers, but I'll live with it. All that said, the initial bite of the brakes is amazing compared to the original brakes on the Lotus. There's no surging or strange noises. I have not taken them to the track yet, but I've done some hard braking to test them and I think they will perform well enough for my skill level at the track.
