Hawk HPS Brake Pads Reviews

First set of Hawk's

Reviewed By Siegfried W (BRIDGMAN, MI) Reviewed for a 2008 Mazda CX-9 —4/7/2016 1:24 PM

Installed new rotors, calipers and Hawk's pads. Pleased with performance of pads and braking after the first week of use. Challenges, factory pads had a couple of shim pads between caliber and brake pad and caliper piston and break pad. Directions provided did not state whether to discard or reuse. Called Hawk - no response. So I did not reuse. Guide plates that were supplied with pads did seem to fit too loosely, so upper guide plates would fall out until tabs were pinched down.

EBC Sport Rotors Reviews

So far they seem pretty good!

Reviewed By Christopher L (Lake Grove, NY) Reviewed for a 2008 Mazda CX-9 —11/2/2015 8:56 PM

The stock rotors developed a vibration when firm brakes were applied so I decided to change them even though the pads were not worn. I purchased the EBC sport rotors with EBC yellow stuff pads. I just completed the break in process involving the 10 consecutive stops and I'm pleased with the performance and smoothness. The only negative is that I get a little bit of rotor noise (Expected with slotted rotors). So far they seem like a nice upgrade compared to OEM.

Power Stop Z23 Brake Kit Reviews

Z23 Break Kit on 2010 Mazda CZ-9

Reviewed By Tom S (VIRGINIA BEACH, VA) Reviewed for a 2010 Mazda CX-9 —12/14/2016 6:53 AM

I have not changed breaks in years. My estimates from the shop were high, so I decided to tackle the project myself. This kit was $75 less then any other place I looked to replace the pads and rotors. Everything I needed was included and this was one of the easiest jobs I've done on any vehicle. It has only been 2 weeks but have had no issues, and the best news my wife;s car stops after I did work on it;)
