Switching from EBC Yellow to EBC Red

Reviewed By Brian P (Northport, NY) Reviewed for a 1995 Mazda Miata/MX-5 —4/19/2016 11:46 AM

I have EBC Yellows on 2 of my cars and they sure do have a great bite but the amount of dust from them is ridiculous. They are track/autocross pads so it's understandable. I switched to EBC Reds and after a week of daily driving on them they dust WAYY less than the yellows and still bite very well. Haven't had the chance to utilize their full potential but on the heaviest braking I have done they perform excellent. Extremely happy so far. Time will tell if these will be my new go to pad

More Control Before Lockup

Reviewed By Gene R (Pearland, TX) Reviewed for a 2000 Mazda Miata/MX-5 —11/24/2015 5:38 AM

Replaced old rotors and Greenstuff pads with Yellowstuff. Install was smooth. At first, I was worried at how much dust I was getting during break-in, but it has leveled off now that the pads have bedded. Stopping power is improved with better control before locking up. Not sure if it is really stopping faster, but the fact I can stop without prematurely locking up the rear tires is a big improvement in control.

ECB Rotors - Satisfaction

Reviewed By Jacobus v (Chandler, AZ) Reviewed for a 1999 Mazda Miata/MX-5 —2/20/2012 8:54 PM

I have had these rotors on my car for 2 weeks now, they look and perform fantastically. As the brakes now outperform my tyres I will need to replace those before I can test these to their limit. Installation was amazingly easy, although I think that is probably due to the Miata design, took me less than 20min. Taking off the wheel was as much trouble as replacing the rotor which fitted perfectly.
