I'm 55 years old and and I have been driving since 17, I have installed a lot of brakes, honestly, I see no difference in these or regular cheaper brakes.

these went on my 2013 Gtr, great stopping power along with new brembo 2pc cross drilled rotor. I do not track my car therefore not necessary upgrading to track pads. These are designed for quiet and stopping power for street driving. I have been using this type pads for my Evo X as well. It has never fail on me whatsoever. If you are looking for more spirit driving and braking harder. I highly recommend go for the Hawk ceramic (yellow box)one. Otherwise, this is more than sufficient

I am retracting what I said in a prior review. During my last brake pad replacement, I ran into problems with brake calipers. Through a process of elimination 1) possible bad resurfacing of the rotors and 2) possible bad calipers, I eventually found that the calipers were bad. Because I didn't resurface the rotors and HPS 5.0 pads after the multiple changes, the brakes didn't work properly. Hawk recommended 200 grit sanding of pads and rotors and rebedding as recommended. IT WORKED!
