EBC Red Stuff Brake Pads

Reviewed By Daniel V (Justin, TX) Reviewed for a 2005 Pontiac GTO —9/4/2013 9:54 AM

I have used them before on other cars. I really love EBC products and these are no different. They hold up extremely well to abuse and stop on a dime. I paired them with cross drilled and slotted rotors and russell stainless steel braided lines on my 05 GTO. They bite like crazy and are tame enough for everyday street driving as well.

Stop on a dime!

Reviewed By Mark P (Oro Valley, AZ) Reviewed for a 2004 Pontiac GTO —4/26/2012 10:34 AM

I have tried a number of different brake pads on my GTO and G35, but these are by far the best. They are extremely quiet (not even the slightest bit of squeal), they produce very little brake dust, and, most importantly, they stop the car better than any brakes I have ever used. Recently, a car pulled out in front of me, and judging from previous stopping distances, I KNEW I was going to plow into the lady, and I braced myself for the impact. Not only did I NOT hit her, I stopped more than a yard short of her car. The combination of Yellow Stuff brakes (my first set) and recently purchased Hankook Ventus Evo summer tires jerked me to a stop so fast I could not believe it! I just bought a new set for my GTO and am also having them put on my G35 as we speak. They do seem to wear out a little faster than other brakes, but the performance and safety factor make them a no-brainer!

They really stop

Reviewed By Lloyd P (Santa Fe, TX) Reviewed for a 2015 Toyota Tacoma —11/19/2014 5:24 AM

My 2013 base Tacoma had stop tech slotted rotors with Hawk LTS pads. My 2015 stops better with the stock rotors and these green pads. I have 235 55R18 performance tires and my brakes can now active the ABS on good dry pavement all the time. It is nice to be limited bt the tire traction instead of the brakes.
