EBC Red Stuff Brake Pads

I have used them before on other cars. I really love EBC products and these are no different. They hold up extremely well to abuse and stop on a dime. I paired them with cross drilled and slotted rotors and russell stainless steel braided lines on my 05 GTO. They bite like crazy and are tame enough for everyday street driving as well.

look great, stop better

The brakes I pulled off had 50k miles and were still within service usage, but had a slight vibration when slowing from speed. Installed these, seems to stop quicker and of course the vibration is gone. Plus they look awesome.

2005 GTO

Reviewed By Daniel E (Fayetteville, GA) Reviewed for a 2005 Pontiac GTO —3/27/2009 3:47 AM

I recently installed EBC rotors and red pads. I also flushed all of the brake fluid from each corner until it was clean. The job was easy and enjoyable. The first test drive started out fine but then I noticed a slight vibration in the steering wheel. I turned around, went home and parked it until the next day. I drove it again and the vibrations got worse after the brakes got warmed up. I now have 250 miles on the brakes and after driving it exactly as recommended the vibrations are almost completely gone. It rained quite a bit and I drove through it which probably washed the excess brake dust from the pads/rotors. Overall I am happy with the brakes. If you take your time and follow the break in procedures you should be fine. I recommend cleaning your brakes after about 175 miles of driving as well.
