First time installing my own brakes

Reviewed By Scott M (MILTON, MA) Reviewed for a 2005 Subaru Legacy —10/12/2017 5:36 PM

This was a cool experience, had the assistance of a professional mechanic friend to install. Did all four rotors and sets of pads in 4 hours at a cost of some food, adult drinks and $250 for this kit (after $30 rebate). Amazing, considering the last time I had a shop do this job it was $720 and they used rather crappy components. The shipping was quick, packaging was nice and it even came with instructions. I think they work awesome.

My StopTech front brakes

Reviewed By Mike M (TEHACHAPI, CA) Reviewed for a 2015 Subaru Impreza —9/28/2017 9:40 AM

I recently ordered a set of front brakes for my 2015 Subaru Impreza. I installed them myself and I couldn't be more pleased with them. The person I talked to on the phone when I placed the order, was knowledgeable and very helpful. He recommended the StopTech kit for both front wheels, as the quietest option. the kits arrived in two days at no shipping cost! Wow! I went online and found an excellent u-tube video . I love my new brakes, they are powerful and silent.

So Far So Good, time will tell

Reviewed By Shan S (Pittsburgh, PA) Reviewed for a 2013 Subaru Forester —9/15/2017 6:31 AM

I decided to put up a little more money and get a better pair of rotors and pads. So Far so good, construction and quality are great. I live in Pittsburgh and the winters are very harsh on rotors with all the salt they put on the roads. I've found myself replacing rotors every 25-30k miles. Hills and traffic warrant the need to keep the rotors cool to prevent warping and brake fade. Time will tell how these hold up but so far so good for the price.
