2006 Matrix - EBC Ultimax

quality seems great. As a note, the instructions say to remove the black coating on the braking surface to prevent brake pad contamination. Initial pad bite is better, overall I would say these rotors reduce braking distance and increase confidence. Time will tell how long they last and if they develop hot spots or warp. Don't waste your money on the cheapest AUTO STORE rotors; don't even buy name brand cheap rotors, buy what is considered the professional grade as a minimum.

Hawk rotors and pads install

I have a boat and a trailer I pull but haven't had occasion to see how they work while pulling. With that said, it seems as though fresh factory brakes are back. I did a few short stops after I wore them in a bit and they worked well. I would recommend these, but I'm not absolutely sold on the premium price for the name brand. Value is questionable. I haven't noticed some miraculous difference in the stopping power, but they definitely get the job done.

Excellent Value

You won't notice the effect of these rotors until you realize your brakes are not fading in long downhill heavy load drives. They cool superbly so you can reduce or quit worrying about brake fade and just drive. Trust them and relax, far less fatigue and stress from worrying about or, way worse, managing actual brake fade.
